  • Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca

Total rose bengal staining also improved sensitivity.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] B cells seem to play an important role in the pathogenesis of Sjögren syndrome.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] The low frequency of anti-SS-A and anti-SS-B antibodies in these patients denotes different pathogenetic associations from primary Sjogren's syndrome.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Brucellosis

Household blood samples were tested for Brucella antibodies using the highly sensitive Rose Bengal test (RBT) and IgM ELISA Lateral Flow Assay (LFA).[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] , and distinct genetic traits: B. ceti dolphin type, B. ceti porpoise type, and B. ceti human type.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Rose Bengal Plate Test and Complement Fixation Test were conducted using sera samples at serology laboratory of the National Animal Health Diagnostic and Investigation Center[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Tuberculosis

Persistence of gaps in implementation of revised national tuberculosis control program in an area of West Bengal. Indian J of Public Health 2007; 51: 246–248.[doi.org] The population-screening rate for TB rose from 0.1% in 2008 to 0.4% in 2016. Notified cases were dominated by extra-pulmonary TB (EP-TB, 42.4% of all cases in 2016).[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] An equation was derived for E. coli B/r relating μ to the number of rrn operons per genome.[dx.doi.org]

  • Brucella

    B. melitensis biotype 3 was isolated from eggs of D. marginatus.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Household blood samples were tested for Brucella antibodies using the highly sensitive Rose Bengal test (RBT) and IgM ELISA Lateral Flow Assay (LFA).[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Samples were tested with the milk ring test, Rose Bengal test, and standard Brucella tube agglutination test.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Chronic Hepatitis

The chronic HBV carriers were divided into three groups: asymptomatic HBV carriers (ASC), moderate chronic hepatitis B group (MCHB), and severe chronic hepatitis B group ([ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Srima Adhikari, Saiantani Mondal, Anurita Mukherjee and Subhasish Kamal Guha , HIV-HBV Coinfection among Individuals Attending the ICTC of a Tertiary Care Hospital in West Bengal[doi.org] Colonno RJ, Rose R, Baldick CJ, et al. • Atopic Keratoconjunctivitis

The percentages of T cells, activated B cells, and T-helper/T-suppressor cell ratios were found to be higher in the tears of patients with AKC than in controls.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Patient eyes with fluorescein and Rose Bengal scores greater than four points were regarded to have significant epithelial disease in this study.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] There were fewer B cells but not fewer plasma cells after CsA and no change in IL-4 expression, suggesting minimal effects on type I hypersensitivity responses.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
