84 Possible Causes for Myofibroblastomas

  • Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinoma

Abstract Intranodal palisaded myofibroblastoma is a rare and benign tumor that usually presents in the inguinal region.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report in the English literature of an intranodal palisaded myofibroblastoma occurring concurrently with lung cancer.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] After mediastinal staging, the right paratracheal mass was found to be an intranodal palisaded myofibroblastoma, which had caused erroneous upstaging of the lung carcinoma[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Benign Breast Tumor

Abstract We report the case of a female patient with an incidental finding at routine mammography evaluation which consisted of a benign spindle cell tumor, namely Breast Myofibroblastoma[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Wide surgical excision is preferred, as these tumors tend to be locally aggressive. 31 Myofibroblastoma Myofibroblastoma is a benign tumor of myofibroblasts and is more common[appliedradiology.com] Myofibroblastoma of the breast: a case report and literature review.
