  • Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism 22

An important characteristic present in both sisters was Müllerian duct hypoplasia manifested as hypoplastic and absent uterus which is not a part of APS.[jpma.org.pk] His laboratory investigations showed low luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and testosterone levels.[atmph.org] Pelvic ultrasound revealed absent uterus in the elder sister and under-developed infantile uterus in the younger sister.[jpma.org.pk]

  • Gonadoblastoma

Pelvic ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging showed a hypoplastic uterus and absent ovaries. Chromosome analysis revealed 46.XY karyotype.[turkjem.org] The B-mode ultrasound showed an infantile uterus, the endometrium appeared as a thin echogenic line, and the masses in the adnexa were non-homogeneous measuring 45 15 mm ([spandidos-publications.com] Serum testing revealed primary hypogonadism pattern, elevated follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone with low concentrations of estradiol and testosterone.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Gonadal Dysgenesis

The presence of a hypoplastic uterus implies a deficiency of anti Mullerian hormone in utero (absent functional testicular tissue).[omicsonline.org] Endocrine evaluation revealed elevated levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (77 IU/L) and luteinizing hormone LH (37 IU/L) with low estradiol ( Figure 1: Arrows show the[jhrsonline.org] On pelvic ultrasound examination, the uterus appeared infantile and the ovaries were not visualized.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Primary Hypergonadotropic Hypogonadism-Partial Alopecia Syndrome

An important characteristic present in both sisters was Müllerian duct hypoplasia manifested as hypoplastic and absent uterus which is not a part of APS.[jpma.org.pk] Serum luteinizing and follicle stimulating hormone levels were low in the three sibs, with an impaired response to LR-RH test in RF and HF showing a prepubertal range.[docslide.com.br] Laboratory investigations revealed a low estradiol level (13 pg/mL; normal range: 21–251 pg/mL), normal luteinizing hormone level (8.09 mIU/L, normal range 1.8–11.78 mIU/L[e-sciencecentral.org]

  • Salti-Salem Syndrome

Etiology In contrast to the syndrome of primary hypergonadotropic hypogonadism and partial alopecia (see this term), streak or absent ovaries, hypoplastic uterus, and microcephaly[orpha.net] Chemically, hCG is similar to luteinizing hormone (LH) as it stimulates testosterone production.[omicsonline.org] Clinical description In addition to frontoparietal alopecia, the remaining scalp hair was also sparse, and axillary and pubic hair was absent.[orpha.net]

An important characteristic present in both sisters was Müllerian duct hypoplasia manifested as hypoplastic and absent uterus which is not a part of APS.[jpma.org.pk] It is only possible to determine the infantile uterus with the help of ultrasound. Also this study helps to establish the degree of development of pathology.[brulanta.com] Differential Diagnosis Gonadal Dysgenesis: Hypoplastic uterus with atrophic vagina, streak gonads Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome: Absent uterus, upper 2/3 vagina& ovaries[iranradiology.com]
