The syndrome may persist for weeks but is almost always self-limited.[]

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis

Erythropoiesis-stimulating agents have been used to treat anemia, one of the extra-articular manifestations of RA.[] Cases of CMV retinitis and immune recovery uveitis in RA patients have been rarely reported in the literature.[] BACKGROUND: Scleritis and/or uveitis sometimes accompanies patients who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis.[]

  • Relapsing Polychondritis

LESSONS: Reports of RP patients with autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) are extremely rare and cases with the mixed-type AIHA has not been reported.[] Imaging data was subsequently correlated with corresponding clinical symptoms like fever, dyspnea, stridor, uveitis, pain, hearing impairment as well as with acute-phase-inflammatory[] Anemia at diagnosis was a marker for decreased survival in the entire group.[]

  • Crohn's Disease

Moreover, anemia may result from IBD therapies, such as sulfasalazine, which may confound the problem. 7 Anemia of inflammation or anemia of chronic disease (ACD) is characterized[] This case of Crohn's disease and uveitis is unusual in that ocular inflammation preceded intestinal involvement, with the atypical feature of chronic intermediate uveitis.[] Episcleritis and uveitis are the principal eye presentations.[]

  • Ulcerative Colitis

This patient was evaluated for iron deficiency anemia and underwent hemicolectomy for extensive right-side predominant inflammatory pseudopolyps.[] Ophthalmological examination established the diagnosis of anterior uveitis. Inflammatory markers were positive.[] […] impotence or retrograde ejaculation 6% of females experience sexual dysfunction Ulcerative colitis can be associated with extra colonic problems such as: Erythema nodosum Uveitis[]

  • Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis

Based on emerging anemia and bilateral diffuse lung consolidation on computed tomography, we judged that diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) was complicated by GPA.[] Following treatment, the patient was asymptomatic for 6 weeks until he developed acute renal failure, generalised arthralgia, acute hypertensive anterior uveitis, and dacryoadenitis[] Here, we report a 59-year-old woman, with a medical history of GP, chronic anemia, and rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis, who presented with weakness, fatigue, dysuria[]

  • Cryopyrin-Associated Periodic Syndrome

  • CINCA Syndrome

Laboratory findings show leucocytosis, anemia, elevation of CRP levels and acceleration of ESR.[] Posterior uveitis accounts for about half of all cases of childhood uveitis and the etiology may be determined in about two thirds of cases.[] In five toddlers with missense mutations in TRNT1 , indicator hints included expensive fevers, anemia, and neurologic involvement.[]

  • Sjogren's Syndrome

Sjogren’s syndrome can present with a variety of symptoms These may include: Dry eyes and/or dry mouth Burning and numbness of the extremities Pain with sexual intercourse Anemia[] Fahd Anzaar, MD Fellow, Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institute; Clinical Research and Education Coordinator, Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation Disclosure:[] Sjögren’s combination were also more likely to have blood abnormalities, including decreased numbers of platelets (thrombocytopenia) and decreased numbers of red blood cells (anemia[]

[…] include: Abdominal pain or swelling Chills Cough and shortness of breath Fatigue Fever General discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling ( malaise ) Joint pain Pale skin due to anemia[] The infiltrates along with the ulcer and anterior uveitis responded dramatically to the revised treatment and resolved completely within 7 days of therapy.[] This initial experience suggested that it had good tolerability and safety, with the most prominent, and unusual, adverse effect being uveitis.[]
