14 Possible Causes for Apical Aneurysm - Right Ventricle, Renal Insufficiency

  • Right-Sided Heart Failure

AN, aneurysm; LA, left atrium; LV, left ventricle; RA, right atrium; RV, right ventricle. ( Panel B ) Colour Doppler of aortic root (parasternal long-axis view) demonstrated[academic.oup.com] Causes of constrictive pericarditis included idiopathic (52%, n  36), tuberculosis (9%, n  6), postcardiotomy (12%, n  8), radiation (4%, n  3), renal insufficiency (12%,[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] One of the 3 patients died, another experienced kidney failure despite postoperative support on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and the third patient survived without[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Cardiac Arrhythmia

In this condition, a reentrant circuit is formed around the characteristic fibro-fatty tissue that has replaced the right ventricle.[revespcardiol.org] The choice will be based on the type of arrhythmia you have, how severe your symptoms are, and whether you have other conditions such as diabetes, kidney failure, or heart[cedars-sinai.edu] A similar mechanism of VT occurs in the setting of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (especially in the presence of an apical aneurysm), valvular heart disease, surgically repaired[revespcardiol.org]

  • Apical Myocardial Infarction

[…] was 200ml, with a giant apical aneurysm, a very low EF (10%) and a medium quantity of pericardial fluid, along with right atria collapse. ( Fig. 2 ) At this point a suspicion[tmj.ro] This is provided there is no evidence of worsening kidney failure, high potassium, low blood pressure, or known narrowing of the renal arteries. [64] Those who cannot tolerate[en.wikipedia.org] […] grade I, with grade II tricuspid regurgitation and mild pulmonary hypertension (systolic pulmonary arterial pressure – SPAP 40mmHg), the end diastolic volume of the left ventricle[tmj.ro]

  • Atrial Septal Aneurysm

The apical four chamber view with colour flow Doppler showing the giant interatrial septal aneurysm.[bsecho.org] […] and hepatic insufficiency, chronic inflammatory disease, pregnancy, septicemia, cerebrovascular accident, and thrombocytopenia were exluded from the study.[omicsonline.org] […] with coronary artery disease, heart failure , valve disease, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, chronic lung disease, thyroid dysfunction, anemia, malignancy, renal[omicsonline.org]

  • Uhl Anomaly

Apical view. Absence of RV myocardium. Walls with “parchment” aspect that show dyskinetic areas and regional aneurysms in the apex are observed.[fac.org.ar] Other signs and symptoms of WAGR syndrome can include childhood-onset obesity, inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), and kidney failure.[ghr.nlm.nih.gov] RV: right ventricle; RA: right atrium. Free wall with “parchment” aspect that shows absence of right ventricular myocardium. Regional aneurysms in the RV apex.[fac.org.ar]

  • Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia

B: right ventriculography discloses dilation of the right ventricle (RV) and "stack of coins" image. C: magnetic resonance image showing apical aneurysm (arrow).[revespcardiol.org] Precautions Adjust dose in severe hepatic dysfunction; no adjustment necessary in renal insufficiency; associated with severe and possibly fatal colitis Drug Name Gentamicin[transplantbuddies.org] Resuscitated survivors may suffer ischemic encephalopathy, acute renal insufficiency, transient ventricular dysfunction, aspiration pneumonitis, and trauma related to resuscitative[emedicine.medscape.com]

  • Myocardial Tumor

A non-enhancing rounded thrombus within the apex was noted measuring 10 mm along with left apical thinning/aneurysm with dyskinesis (Figure 4).[omicsonline.org] failure infections that affect the heart Cardiac tamponade has the following symptoms: anxiety and restlessness low blood pressure weakness chest pain radiating to your neck[healthline.com] Secondary adrenal insufficiency is due to pituitary dependent loss of ACTH and leads to a fall in glucocorticoids, whereas mineralocorticoids remain normal.[escardio.org]

  • Pulmonary Atresia

We describe an infant with pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum and right ventricle-dependent coronary circulation and a left ventricle apical aneurysm who successfully[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] insufficiency caused by contrast material Diffuse central nervous system injury Stroke Death Recommendations for Diagnostic Catheterization Class I It is recommended that[doi.org] aneurysms.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Mucopolysaccharidosis 4A

Intraoperative image of the anterior left ventricular wall with a prominent apical aneurysm.[ahajournals.org] Patients with Fabry disease, especially males, are at greater risk to develop kidney failure.[rarediseasesnetwork.org] RV indicates right ventricle; LV, left ventricle; and LAD, left anterior descending artery. Figure 4.[ahajournals.org]

  • Left Ventricular Aneurysm

RV, right ventricle.[jstage.jst.go.jp] Proceedings Vai 2006 Diastolic function in chronic renal insufficiency Proceedings Vai 2006 Left ventricular structure and function in hypertensives with chronic renal insufficiency[unipa.it] […] was 200ml, with a giant apical aneurysm, a very low EF (10%) and a medium quantity of pericardial fluid, along with right atria collapse. ( Fig. 2 ) At this point a suspicion[tmj.ro]
