152 Possible Causes for Arthralgia, Cryoglobulinemia, Hepatitis D Virus

  • Hepatitis B

RESULTS: Clinical history, examinations, and laboratory results suggest HBV-associated cryoglobulinemia and vasculitis.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Individuals coinfected with its satellite hepatitis D virus (HDV) have more severe disease. Cellular entry of both viruses is mediated by HBV envelope proteins.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Numerous extrahepatic manifestations have been reported in patients with both acute and chronic hepatitis B (arthralgias or arthritis, skin rashes, glomerulonephritis and[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Viral Hepatitis

HCV RNA can be demonstrated in the tumor as well as in surrounding liver tissue although HCV RNA cannot be integrated in the hepatocytic DNA. 3--Essential cryoglobulinemia[meddean.luc.edu] […] followed by the prodromal period, which is characterized by acute manifestations such as fatigue, malaise, fever, anorexia, nausea, emesis, abdominal pain, urticaria, and arthralgia[symptoma.com] ORIGINAL ARTICLE Year : 2013 Volume : 31 Issue : 3 Page : 261-265 Prevalence of hepatitis A virus, hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, hepatitis D virus and hepatitis E[ijmm.org]

  • Chronic Hepatitis C

Approximately 80% of patients with hepatitis C virus infection develop chronic liver disease as cirrhosis, and 40% develop autoimmune complications as mixed cryoglobulinemia[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Symptomatic patients may experience fatigue, nausea, anorexia, myalgia (muscle pain), arthralgia, weakness, and weight loss.[britannica.com] Hepatitis D The hepatitis D virus is unusual because it can only infect you when you also have a hepatitis B virus infection.[niddk.nih.gov]

Serum cryoglobulinemia was measured in all patients.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] The most difficult challenge in diagnosis and therapy is patients with symptoms of fibromyalgia (arthralgia, myalgia, fatigue) and oral and ocular dryness in the presence[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Dustin, Somatic Hypermutations Confer Rheumatoid Factor Activity in Hepatitis C Virus–Associated Mixed Cryoglobulinemia, Arthritis & Rheumatism, 65, 9, (2430-2440), (2013)[doi.org]
