125 Possible Causes for aVR, Heart Murmur, T Wave Inversion

  • Aortic Valve Stenosis

Patients were grouped into treatment (aortic valve replacement [AVR]) and conservative (non-AVR) groups.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] At this point there may be signs of ventricular strain pattern (ST segment depression and T wave inversion) on the EKG, suggesting subendocardial ischemia.[en.wikipedia.org] A heart murmur is a sound created by turbulent blood flow through narrowed or leaking heart valves or through abnormal heart structures.[merckmanuals.com]

  • Acute Myocardial Infarction

The doctor may hear abnormal sounds in your lungs (called crackles), a heart murmur, or other abnormal sounds. You may have a rapid pulse.[utmedicalcenter.org] The main wave direction of QRS in lead aVR was positive and showed an extreme right axis deviation.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Features may initially be normal but abnormalities include new ST-segment elevation; initially peaked T waves and then T-wave inversion; new Q waves; new conduction defects[patient.info]

  • Heart Valve Disease

Bioprosthesis AVR plus no risk factor*Aspirin, 80–100 mg/d I AVR plus risk factor*Warfarin, INR 2 to 3 I MVR plus no risk factor*Aspirin, 80–100 mg/d I MVR plus risk factor[ahajournals.org] Symptoms of heart valve disease A murmur is a sound that can occur when blood flows through a heart valve that doesn’t open or close properly.[heartfoundation.org.nz] Transcatheter Pulmonic Valve Implantation (Medtronic MELODY valve) Surgical-based procedures Surgical valve replacement including minimally invasive aortic valve replacement (AVR[heart.ucla.edu]

  • Myocardial Infarction

The provider may hear abnormal sounds in your lungs (called crackles), a heart murmur, or other abnormal sounds. You may have a fast or uneven pulse.[nlm.nih.gov] ECG revealed a diminished R wave in V2-V4 with ST elevation in V2-V5 and in aVR. Biphasic T wave was seen in V2-V6.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Electrocardiography showed a sinus rhythm with Q-wave formation in the inferior wall leads (II, III, aVF), T-wave inversion in the same leads, and borderline QT prolongation[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Acute Coronary Syndrome

Small Q waves (ie, 1, V 2, and V 3 ; and lead AVR is often a QS complex normally.[nursingcenter.com] During the early hours of a heart attack, heart murmurs and other abnormal heart sounds may be heard through a stethoscope.[msdmanuals.com] Heart sounds are frequently normal. At times, gallop and murmur can be heard.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Coronary Atherosclerosis

Although most will recognise the typical ECG features of ST elevation myocardial infarction, the significance of ST elevation in lead aVR may not always be appreciated.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] […] or appearance or disappearance of localized ST-elevation followed by T-wave inversion in two or more standard electrocardiograph leads; (c) increase in concentration of serum[doi.org] […] axilla; see Heart Murmurs Topic Review .[healio.com]

  • Secondary Cardiomyopathy

Our patient was noted to have ST-segment elevation in lead aVR, which is associated with global myocardial ischemia and Tako-Tsubo cardiomyopathy.[radcliffecardiology.com] These may include electrocardiogram (ECG) changes of QT prolongation and T wave inversion, elevated biochemical markers of myocardial damage and heart failure, and decreased[link.springer.com] Is there a personal history of heart murmur? Is there a personal history of elevated blood pressure?[aafp.org]

  • Mitral Valve Prolapse

The occurrence of total MVP tended to be higher in the group with MVI (47%, 9/19), when compared with the younger CKCS without heart murmurs (13%, 2/15, P 0.06).[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] ARD 45mm One pregnancy without complication, Surgery for threatened aortic dissection First Son MVP, MR, AI ARD 47mm No Second Son MVP, MR Surgery for aortic dissection & AVR[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] inversion in I–aVL; Q wave in inferior leads T-wave inversion in V 1 –V 2 T-wave inversion in V 1 –V 3 T-wave inversion in V 1 –V 3 Echocardiographic findings Maximal septal[dx.doi.org]

  • Ischemic Cardiomyopathy

Amplitudes of T/aVR were automatically computed from median ECG beats at enrollment and endpoints were blindly adjudicated.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy may cause dizziness, fainting, heart murmurs and chest pain Restrictive cardiomyopathy can cause swelling of the hands and feet If you have one[heartandstroke.ca] Cardiomyopathy may lead to heart failure, blood clots, a heart murmur, and cardiac arrest.[fortherecordmag.com]

  • Viral Myocarditis

Pericarditis on EKG: a diagnosis of exclusion - particularly must exclude ACS Diffuse ST elevations with depressions allowed in V1 or aVR.[hippoed.com] Arrhythmias, heart murmurs, third and fourth heart sound as well as mild and filiform pulse may be present and syncopes may be experienced.[symptoma.com] In infants, symptoms may also include bluish skin, heart murmurs, and a poor appetite.[healthcentral.com]
