  • Cardiomyopathy

In patients with congestive heart failure, chest x-ray will show signs of congestion, an enlarged cardiac silhouette and possibly pleural effusions ( Figure 3 ).[clinicaladvisor.com] In very few people with cardiomegaly and severe congestive heart failure, a heart transplant may be recommended.[m.webmd.com] Electrocardiogram showed right axis deviation, poor R-wave progression, and diffuse ST-segment elevation in the anterior leads, and cardiomegaly was observed by roentgenogram[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Pericardial Effusion

Radiologic examinations were carried out, and the computed tomography scan revealed a hepatomegaly and a chest X-ray showed evidence of a unilateral pleural effusion.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] The two patients, 13- and 14-year-old boys, developed cardiomegaly and chest pain with vomiting.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Considerable amounts of pericardial fluid may muffle heart sounds, increase the area of cardiac dullness, and change the size and shape of the cardiac silhouette.[merckmanuals.com]

  • Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Generalized enlargement of the heart is seen upon normal chest X-ray. Pleural effusion may also be noticed, which is due to pulmonary venous hypertension.[en.wikipedia.org] Cardiomegaly with marked biventricular dilation and fibrosis were noticeable histopathological findings.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Chest x-ray shows cardiomegaly, usually of all chambers.[merckmanuals.com]

  • Alcoholic Cardiomyopathy

Blood tests will show signs of liver injury and confirm alcohol abuse, while chest X-ray shows pulmonary congestion, cardiomegaly and pleural effusions.[radcliffecardiology.com] Key features of alcoholic cardiomyopathy are cardiac hypertrophy and ventricular dilatation, and the disease is manifested mainly as cardiomegaly, congestive heart failure[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Abstract Alcoholic cardiomyopathy is characterized by cardiomegaly, disruptions of myofibrillary architecture, reduced myocardial contractility, decreased ejection fraction[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Cardiomegaly

Chest X - ray showed cardiomegaly and bilateral pleural effusion. 3.[sentencedict.com] Cardiomegaly is of two types: Dilative cardiomegaly: The enlargement of the heart results from the dilation of the myocardium.[symptoma.com] There are two main types of cardiomegaly: Dilated cardiomyopathy is the most common type of cardiomegaly.[en.wikipedia.org]
