167 Possible Causes for Complete Blood Count Abnormal, Granulomatous Tissue, Pulmonary Tuberculosis

  • Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis

Granulomatous inflammatory tissue around the skull base resulted in cavernous sinus syndrome, facial nerve palsy, palsies of cranial nerves IX-XII (Collet-Sicard syndrome)[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] These tests may include: Complete blood count (CBC) to look for: Evidence of anemia (common in Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (Wegener's)) Abnormal white blood cell count[drugs.com] Wegener's granulomatosis disease mimicking pulmonary tuberculosis.[jacpjournal.org]

  • Silicosis

The nerve was dissected and released from scar tissues.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] We report the case of silicosis in a 50-year-old woman that presented with pulmonary fibrosis and later developed pulmonary tuberculosis.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] The first case of silicosis, initially complicated by pulmonary tuberculosis, which later developed into advanced lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma of the lung is reported.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Histological examination of the lesions showed granulomatous tissue with caseaous necrosis consistent with tuberculosis.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] The authors report a case of coinfection of pulmonary paragonimiasis and pulmonary tuberculosis which is an uncommon coinfection.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] The percent of granulomatous tissue was calculated as a percent of total lung area as described 61 .[nature.com]

  • Meningeal Tuberculosis

There is extensive necrosis and bony destruction with compressed fractures (with kyphosis) and extension to soft tissues, including psoas "cold" abscess.[library.med.utah.edu] The genotype of M. tuberculosis influenced the presenting features of pulmonary and meningeal tuberculosis.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] This study was to evaluate the possible association between CCL1 rs2072069 G/A or/and TLR2 rs3804099 T/C (T597C) polymorphisms and pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) or/and tuberculous[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Silicotuberculosis

It is concluded that this is an effective means of treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis in patients with silicosis as well as in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis only,[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] We describe a cascade of complications-active pulmonary tuberculosis despite recent isoniazid prophylactic therapy, non-tuberculous mycobacterial disease, chronic airways[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] . silicotuberculosis (sĭl″ĭ-kō-tū-bĕr-kū-lō′sĭs) [″ tuberculum , a little swelling, Gr. osis , condition] Silicosis associated with pulmonary tuberculosis.[medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com]

  • Disseminated Tuberculosis

Sections of lung tissue showed granulomatous inflammation composed of epitheloid cells a few lymphocytes and caseous necrosis.[jacpjournal.org] (Blood cultures reports and sensitivity tests in second and third week of admission at secondary hospital in appendix B) Her full blood count remained normal in follow-up[omicsonline.org] Chest radiogram revealed bilateral pulmonary tuberculosis.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Ileocecal Tuberculosis

[…] caused by vascular thrombosis is responsible for tissue breakdown.[jlponline.org] Active pulmonary tuberculosis was not observed in this case.[jstage.jst.go.jp] Secondary to pulmonary tuberculosis Primary 2. Primary tuberculosis in the chest No primary in the chest 3.[7med-pdf.com]

  • Pulmonary Actinomycosis

Pulmonary actinomycosis is characterized by an extensive interstitial fibrosis of the lung in addition to granulomatous disease.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Complete blood count. This blood test will help look for signs of infection. Chest CT scan. Specialized X-ray imaging used to make an image of your chest.[healthline.com] Pulmonary involvement, other than cervicofacially or abdominopelvically, is uncommon and often leads to a misdiagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis or lung cancer.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Sarcoidosis

A search for mycobacterial DNA in granulomatous tissues from patients with sarcoidosis using the polymerase chain reaction. Am Rev Respir Dis 1992 ; 145 : 1142 –1148.[doi.org] All patients with suspected sarcoidosis should have a complete blood count (CBC), serum chemistries, including calcium, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase[clinicaladvisor.com] In particular, suspected sarcoidosis must be differentiated from pulmonary tuberculosis, a lung tumor or lymphoma.[ims.uniklinik-freiburg.de]
