115 Possible Causes for Corneal Infiltrate, Fungal Keratitis

  • Keratitis

In our study, 56 cases with fungal keratitis (just single eye) and 23 cases with bacterial keratitis were included.[] Adenoviral conjunctivitis may lead to subepithelial corneal infiltrates as a late complication.[] He had undergone a corneal tear repair on that eye 15 days prior to the onset of keratitis. The infiltrations were along the sutured corneal tear tracts.[]

  • Fungal Keratitis

A fungal keratitis is an 'inflammation of the eye's cornea' (called keratitis) that results from infection by a fungal organism.[] The corneal infiltrate findings were suggestive of fungal keratitis, and corneal smears were positive for septate fungal hyphae.[] The patient responded to amphotericin B treatment and the corneal infiltration resolved, leaving a plaquelike corneal scar.[]

  • Scedosporium Infection

Fluconazole in filamentous fungal keratitis. Cornea 1997;16:700. [ PUBMED ] 15.[] He had a 4 x 4 mm central corneal infiltrate with satellite lesions and a 4 mm hypopyon ( Figure 1a ).[] The right eye showing corneal opacity and conjunctival congestion with right infiltration lesion around (red arrowhead).[]

  • Hypopyon Ulcer

[…] of fungal keratitis.[] The diagnosis of a sterile corneal ulcer and infiltrate was established.[] Diagnosis: Fungal keratitis ( Fusarium species) EPIDEMIOLOGY Fungal keratitis represents 5-10% of reported cases of keratitis Fungal keratitis is more common in tropical and[]

  • Corneal Ulcer

The mean /- SD age of patients with fungal keratitis was 60.4 /- 12.1 (range: 39 - 73) years. Three (42.85%) patients with fungal keratitis were farmers.[] The best corrected visual acuity, location, size, and density of corneal infiltrates, the size and presence of a corneal epithelial defect, subjective eye pain (scale of 0[] The area of the corneal ulcer was central in three, and paracentral in three eyes. The corneal infiltrate was small in one eye, and medium in five eyes.[]

  • Acanthamoeba Keratitis

To report fungal infection complicating Acanthamoeba keratitis. Case report.[] It typically presents as a unilateral central or paracentral corneal infiltrate, often with a ring-shaped peripheral infiltrate.[] BACKGROUND: The clinical features of Acanthamoeba keratitis (AK) are non-specific and closely resemble bacterial, viral and fungal keratitis.[]

  • Central Corneal Ulcer

Park YW, Kang BJ, Lim JH, Ahn JM, Lim HS Pseudomonas aeruginosa keratitis misdiagnosed as fungal keratitis by in vivo confocal microscopy: a case report.[] Mid-peripheral corneal infiltrate at 9:00 as well as surrounding corneal edema consistent with infection ICD-10 Diagnosis Codes: H16.011– Central corneal ulcer, right eye[] Your doctor would diagnose fungal keratitis only with microscopic evaluation of specially stained specimens or cultures.[]

  • Interstitial Keratitis

[…] lenses and is caused by Acanthamoeba, a free-living amoeba Fungal Keratitis caused by a fungal infection Viral Keratitis that is often caused by herpes simplex virus Photokeratitis[] This is the first case of corneal inflammatory infiltration in a patient with mastocytosis.[] , Keratouveitis (Infectious/Non-Infectious/Neuroparalytic/Parasitic) Contact Lens-associated Fungal Keratitis (Colour Images, Time Course) Corneal Granuloma Disciform/Stromal[]

  • Herpes Zoster Ophthalmicus

Cornea becomes susceptible to bacterial and fungal keratitis. Chronic. Late onset. Uncommon.[] These epithelial lesions can lead to anterior stromal corneal infiltrates.[] Corneal neovascularization and lipid infiltrates may occur in patients with uncontrolled chronic disease.[]

  • Herpes Simplex Dendritic Keratitis

Interstitial/ Parenchymal Keratitis Endothelial Cell Edema in Keratouveitis due to Varicella Zoster Virus (Anterior Segment Colour Photography) Mismanagement of fungal keratitis[] infiltrate, Immune Ring of Wessely Parenchymatous Keratitis Pseudomonas aeruginosa Keratitis with Corneal Perforation after Daily Wear Lens (Colour Image) Viral Keratitis[] She presented with widespread subepithelial corneal infiltrates in addition to central corneal edema with white distinct border resembling immune stromal ring, as well as[]
