Vibration, pain, and temperature sensation decreases in a stocking-glove pattern. Deep tendon reflexes are absent.
The loss of sensation in the feet predisposes to development of foot ulcers and gangrene.  In addition, mild weakness of foot muscles and decreased ankle and knee reflexes
