31 Possible Causes for Dry Cough, Intermittent Dysphagia

  • Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

    The case of a patient with intermittent dysphagia and suspected GERD is discussed. Pharyngoesophageal scintigraphy was performed. Reflux test was negative.[] A persistent regurgitation of the acid into the throat and back of the mouth particularly at night may lead to a persistent dry cough.[] Intermittent non-progressive dysphagia was the main presenting complaint, while one also had an acute food impaction.[]
