  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

    She was diagnosed with severe lupus myocarditis, and a renal biopsy also confirmed lupus nephritis.[] Although it does not differentiate DLE from SLE, biopsy can rule out other disorders (eg, lymphoma or sarcoidosis).[] The 47-year-old woman had idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and presented with malar erythema and a positive antinuclear antibody (titer 1:320).[]
