  • Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia

Five patients with CPVT and one with polymorphic VT (PVT) and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy who had exercise-induced ventricular ectopy despite beta-blocker therapy were studied[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Ventricular ectopy, bidirectional VT, and polymorphic VT may occur in a progressively predictable order with increasing heart rate.[doi.org] However, although beta-blockers prevent exercise-induced ventricular tachycardia (VT), most patients continue to have ventricular ectopy during exercise, and some studies[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia 1

We aimed at estimating the predictive value of intravenous epinephrine administration in CPVT patients with frequent exercise-induced ventricular ectopy.[scinapse.io] We hypothesized that ventricular ectopy after exercise (i.e., during the recovery phase) would predict an increased risk of death better than ventricular ectopy during exercise[scinapse.io] Introduction: A test involving intravenous infusion of epinephrine has been proposed as a method alternative to exercise stress test in diagnosis of catecholaminergic polymorphic[scinapse.io]

  • Brugada Syndrome

Ventricular ectopy, bidirectional VT, and polymorphic VT may occur in a progressively predictable order with increasing heart rate.[doi.org] […] by sympathetic stimulation by exercise or by epinephrine infusion.[doi.org] […] also contribute to abnormal regulation of cellular calcium. 23 Abnormal calcium handling can lead to arrhythmias mediated by delayed afterdepolarizations. 24 Arrhythmia is induced[doi.org]
