  • Heat Exhaustion

Without treatment, heat syncope can put you at risk for heat stroke.[] Clinically significant hyponatremia often results from voluntary overhydration and can be dangerous. 20 Clinical manifestations of hyponatremia include nonspecific symptoms[] Heat exhaustion is a non–life-threatening clinical syndrome of weakness, malaise, nausea, syncope, and other nonspecific symptoms caused by heat exposure.[]

  • Addison's Disease

Signs and symptoms include low blood pressure, nausea and vomiting, syncope, hypoglycemia, hyponatremia, hyperkalemia, a metabolic acidosis, lethergy, confusion, and convulsions[] During admission for evaluation of hypotension, she was also detected to have hyponatremia. Hyponatremia and hypotension failed to improve despite fluid resuscitation.[] Characteristic symptoms are: Sudden penetrating pain in the legs, lower back, or abdomen Severe vomiting and diarrhea, resulting in dehydration Low blood pressure Syncope[]

  • Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

  • Congestive Heart Failure

[…] on the right side of the heart, and it may be more easily felt Eyes or feet may be puffy as the right heart fails Chest pain Palpitations (irregular heartbeat) Dizziness Syncope[] We describe the use of conivaptan in a 4-month-old infant girl with severe hypervolemic hyponatremia and heart failure.[] People whose heart failure is primarily low output heart failure are more likely to have low blood pressure, lightheadedness, and syncope.[]

  • Autoimmune Adrenal Insufficiency

Glucose: 66 mg/dL M2 Select Answer to see Preferred Response PREFERRED RESPONSE 5 (M2.EC.43) A 53-year-old nurse presents to the emergency department after experiencing a syncopal[] Initial laboratory values were notable for hyperkalemia of 9.3 mmol/L, hypoglycemia, hyponatremia, non-anion gap metabolic acidosis, mild peripheral eosinophilia, and random[] Biochemical analyses revealed that hyperkalemia was typical for AD, while hyponatremia was more characteristic for SAI.[]

  • Adrenal Insufficiency Secondary to Hypopituitarism

Syncope or dizziness (due to hypotension). Confusion. Personality change. Irritability. Loss of pubic or axillary hair in women, delayed puberty in children.[] Drug-induced hyponatremia could only be attributed to citalopram as he was receiving no other drugs causing hyponatremia.[] Determination of plasma cortisol level in patients with hyponatremia not explained by other causes should always be obtained.[]

  • Heat Stroke

Individuals with heat stroke were identified and compared to control subjects with mild heat illness such as heat exhaustion, heat edema, heat cramps, and heat syncope.[] 20.51%), confusional state (58.97%),coma (29.48%), seizure (33.33%),and vomiting (26.92%).Vital parameters were recorded and laboratory parameters revealed hypophosphatemia, hyponatremia[] Heat cramps: Symptoms are painful muscle spasms in the arms, legs, or abdomen Heat syncope (fainting): Symptoms of heat syncope or fainting are Heat exhaustion is a warning[]
