984 Possible Causes for Leukopenia, Proteinuria, Thrombocytopenia

  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Blood platelet counts (BPCs) of 20   10/L represent severe thrombocytopenia, and a BPC of 21 to 50   10/L indicates moderate thrombocytopenia.[] Drugs causing leukopenia Some drugs may lead to leukopenia.[] We analyzed mean values of age, ESR, ESRp, CRP, ferritin and distribution of anti-dsDNA antibodies, C3 reduction, serositis, and erythrocyturia with proteinuria.[]

  • Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome

A 28-day-old female presented with gross hematuria and hypertension. aHUS was suspected based on anemia with schistocytes, thrombocytopenia, low C3, and acute kidney injury[] After three doses, the child developed leukopenia (total leukocyte count 3500/mm 3 and absolute neutrophil count 800/mm 3 ).[] The current data that is available looks at proteinuria specifically in children with HUS, in patients with post diarrheal HUS, or simply the incidence of proteinuria, but[]

  • Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria

The combination of thrombosis, splenomegaly, and thrombocytopenia (TST) is challenging because anticoagulants are indicated but thrombocytopenia may increase the bleeding[] CBC showed leukopenia (WBC 2.9 x 103 /µL) with neutropenia (segmented neutrophils 48%), macrocytic anemia (Hgb 6.1 g/dL, hematocrit 20%, MCV,113 fL) and thrombocytopenia ([] We describe a 51-year-old woman with glomerular filtration rate decrease and hypokalemia, glucosuria, and proteinuria during a 4-year period.[]

  • Typhus

Bone marrow study was done which was suggestive of immune thrombocytopenia. Patient was given a course of steroids with which the thrombocytopenia improved.[] Some of the common abnormalities noted include proteinuria, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, higher levels of transaminase, and hypoalbuminemia.[] Haematuria and proteinuria were more frequent in the AKI group. There was no relationship between the severity of proteinuria and occurrence of AKI.[]

  • Chemotherapy

The main outcomes were improvement in chemotherapy-induced grade 3/4 marrow suppression (leukopenia, neutropenia, anemia, and thrombocytopenia) or gastrointestinal toxicities[] The pooled AE rates of grade 3/4 were hypertension (7%), proteinuria (3%), hand-foot-skin reaction (6%), fatigue (4%), decreased appetite (1.1%), oral mucositis (3%), and[] The patient presented with abdominal pain, haematochezia, acute anaemia and thrombocytopenia. CT of the abdomen and pelvis revealed SISBH.[]

  • Plasmodium Falciparum Malaria

Statistics from Plasmodium falciparum malaria thrombocytopenia traveller Thrombocytopenia is frequent in patients with acute malaria and is sometimes profound[] Fever (100%), splenomegaly (86.7%), hepatomegaly (26.7%), leukopenia (13.3%), thrombocytopenia (80%), elevated liver function tests (40%), and increased serum creatinine levels[] Microhematuria and proteinuria along with acute kidney injury developed during the course of the disease.[]

  • Serum Sickness

Post-partum, she developed thrombocytopenia, with a platelet nadir of 4000 mm 3 , also thought to be autoimmune in nature, although not associated with usual lupus flare symptomatology[] […] year-old patient came to the emergency room complaining of sudden malaise, chills, fever, headache, cervical lymph node enlargement, arthromyalgia, generalized purpura and leukopenia[] Symptoms included disabling joint pain, proteinuria, fever, rash, and malaise.[]

  • Primary Myelofibrosis

Six weeks later, he developed grade 4 thrombocytopenia and grade 3 anemia.[] We found that fibrosis grade 2 and greater on a 0-3 scale was associated with clinical characteristics indicative of a more advanced disease, such as anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia[] A urinalysis revealed nephrotic-range proteinuria.[]

  • Azathioprine

Subgroups with leukopenia, anemia, thrombocytopenia, and liver dysfunction did not differ in concentrations of 6-TG or 6-MMP.[] However, leukopenia, the most common toxicity, still restricts its clinical applications.[] Patients with good long-term renal outcome had a much more stringent early decrease of 24 h proteinuria compared with patients with poor outcome.[]

  • Multiple Myeloma

Moreover, there was much more largely decreased incidence of grade 3 and higher thrombocytopenia and BIPN in bortezomib SC administration than IV route.[] This interferes with blood cell production leading to anemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia.[] Preeclampsia is the most common cause of proteinuria with hypertension during pregnancy.[]
