28 Possible Causes for Mesocardia, Normal Electrocardiogram, Right Bundle Branch Block

  • Ebstein Malformation

The electrocardiogram showed normal sinus rhythm, dilation of the right atrium and right bundle-branch block. The chest X-ray film showed a CTR 0.95 (Figure 1).[] The present case report illustrates fetal echocardiographic clues to the diagnosis that include mesocardia and apically displaced attachment of the left-sided atrioventricular[] Right axis deviation and Right Bundle branch Block are frequently observed as well.[]

  • Scimitar Syndrome

Figure 1 Preoperative Chest X-ray showed a dextroposition and mesocardia with scimitar vein.[] Infantile type o Congestive heart failure o Pulmonary hypertension o Hypoxemia o Cyanosis Childhood/adult type o Right ventricular hypertrophy o Right bundle branch block[] The electrocardiogram showed left axis deviation and chest X-ray revealed cardiomegaly with pulmonary plethora.[]

  • Mesocardia

mesocardia — meso·car·dia … English syllables mesocardia — n. placing of heart in middle of thorax … Dictionary of difficult words mesocardia — ˌme]zōˈkärdēə, ˌmē], ]sō noun[] The wide S waves expected in lateral leads right during right bundle branch block are also seen.[] The echocardiography showed a cardiac malposition with the heart in the middle of the thorax, the atria in concordance with the ventricles, the great vessels in the normal[]

  • Congenital Pericardium Anomaly

Her cardiac examination was completely normal. Her electrocardiogram showed poor R wave progression.[] […] tumours, kyphoscoliosis, abnormalities of the diaphragm. cardiac orientation - the base to apex orientation of the heart: levocardia - apex directed to the left of the midline mesocardia[] Her physical examination was normal.[]

  • Levocardia

Plain X-ray films of the chest and abdomen showed a normally located heart and a right-sided stomach ( Fig. 1 ). The electrocardiogram was normal with sinus rhythm.[] Other forms of cardiac malposition, including dextrocardia, mesocardia and criss-cross heart, with chest radiograph and CMR correlation, are also discussed.[] An electrocardiogram showed sinus rhythm with right bundle branch block.[]

  • Uhl Anomaly

Chest X-ray showed cardiomegaly, whereas electrocardiogram showed a normal sinus rhythm with poor right ventricular (RV) forces.[] […] congenital (at birth) Holt oram syndrome Hypoplasia of cardiac vein, congenital Malposition of cardiac apex, congenital (at birth) Malposition of heart, congenital (at birth) Mesocardia[] ECG: Normal sinus rhythm with Himalayan P waves, right bundle branch block, and right axis deviation.[]

  • Dextrocardia

Fig. 2 A right-sided, 12-lead electrocardiogram shows normal axis and normal progression of R-wave amplitude in the precordial leads.[] […] containing back-references to 746.87 : Abdomen, abdominal - see also condition heart 746.87 Anomaly, anomalous (congenital) (unspecified type) 759.9 Asplenia 759.0 with mesocardia[] The wide S waves expected in lateral leads right during right bundle branch block are also seen.[]

  • Congenitally Uncorrected Transposition of the Great Arteries

Asymptomatic women with unremarkable resting electrocardiograms, a normal exercise test, good left ventricular function and a pre-pregnancy aortic valve peak pressure drop[] […] descending branch and gives rise to a circumflex branch left coronary artery resembles a right coronary artery situs inversus Plain radiograph Chest radiographs may present with mesocardia[] Electrocardiography findings were sinus rhythm with first degree heart block, right bundle branch block and right ventricular hypertrophy.[]

  • Corrected Transposition of the Great Vessels

Laboratory investigations including haematocrit and electrolytes were normal.[] The chest X-ray showed mesocardia. He began to experience signs and symptoms of heart failure in 1992, with a systolic murmur audible over the left sternal border.[] Those early studies clearly revealed that complete heart block, right bundle branch block and postoperative ventricular pump failure were almost invariably due to surgical[]

  • Bochdalek Hernia

Her electrocardiogram showed a normal sinus rhythm with no ST segment or T-wave abnormalities.[] Mesocardia (axis alteration of heart). Poor prognostic factors include: Diagnosis prior to 25 weeks of gestation. Liver herniation (7).[] ECG showed sinus rhythm with incomplete right bundle-branch block and signs of right heart strain (S1Q3T3; Figure 3 ).[]
