943 Possible Causes for Ovarian Mass

  • Ovarian Cyst

After menstruation, ultrasonographic imaging demonstrated a shrunken ovarian mass.[] Pelvic examination, ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging revealed a 7-cm, multicystic ovarian mass with solid component, and her serum CA125 and CA19-9 were elevated[] The aim of this case report is to show how a huge cystic ovarian mass can mislead the diagnosis of ascites in a postmenopausal woman.[]

  • Endometriosis

Del Junco Jr. has treated many women who have had both an elevated CA 125 level and an ovarian mass detected by ultrasound.[] CONCLUSION: MR imaging is superior to Doppler US and CT in diagnosis of malignant ovarian masses.[] We at the Institute, however, council women that if their ovarian masses prove benign, radical surgery would be unnecessary.[]

  • Ovarian Cystadenoma

Discussion Giant ovarian masses are extremely rare.[] Figure 3 Intra operative view of huge ovarian mass. Figure 4 8.5kg of huge ovarian mass.[] Ultrasonography seems to be useful in making the initial diagnosis of an ovarian mass.[]

  • Uterine Fibroid

An impression of accidented ovarian mass to keep in view degenerating fibroid was made.[] The subserosal fibroid can develop a stalk or stem-like base, making it difficult to distinguish from an ovarian mass. Which ovarian masses require surgery?[]

  • Ovarian Cystic Teratoma

A 55-year-old woman presented with an asymptomatic right ovarian mass, showing features of cystic teratoma according to preoperative computed tomography and magnetic resonance[] Presentation A 42-year-old woman underwent an ultrasound for an ovarian mass.[] A goose-egg-sized mass was palpable in the left lower abdomen on physical examination. Ultrasonography revealed a cystic ovarian mass with internal echogenecity.[]

  • Ovarian Adenoma

The case was managed by abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salphingectomy of the hematosalphinx, which had formed a tubo-ovarian mass. One ovary was preserved.[] Figure 3 Intra operative view of huge ovarian mass. Figure 4 8.5kg of huge ovarian mass.[] Ultrasonography seems to be useful in making the initial diagnosis of an ovarian mass.[]

  • Ovarian Clear Cell Neoplasm

Right ovarian mass was cystic with intact capsule. Left ovarian mass was partly cystic, partly solid and was ruptured at the cystic part with chocolate materials.[] MRI Often seen as a cystic ovarian mass with the margin being generally smooth. Solid protrusions are often both round and few in number.[] (b) The cut surface of the left ovary measuring 3.2 cm 1.5 cm 1 cm showing whitish and yellowish areas,The cut surface of the right ovarian mass measuring 10.5 cm 7.5 cm 4.5[]

Ultrasound showed right tubo-ovarian mass of eight centimeters size. We believe that the tubo ovarian mass had developed secondary to the intrauterine device.[] […] of a tubo-ovarian mass that on exploration turned out to be a case of tubercular tubo-ovarian abscess in an unmarried girl.[] This CT reveals a complex ovarian mass consistent with TOA.
