9 Possible Causes for Percentage of Naive T Cells Increased

  • Graft-versus-Host-Disease

After allothymus Tx the percentage of CD3 CD4 T cells slowly increased to reach a subnormal level (compared with that in euthymic rats) at 6 mo post-Tx.[doi.org] As generally known ( 18 ), PBMC of naive nude rats showed very low percentages of CD3 CD4 lymphocytes (Fig. 3 b ) or CD3 CD8 lymphocytes (data not shown).[doi.org]

  • Bloom Syndrome

WRN increase was positively correlated to CD4 and CD8 T-cell numbers, and also the percentage of naive T lymphocytes, and was observed also in T-cell subsets.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Interestingly, a general trend toward increased WRN mRNA levels in individuals with lower viral load was observed, without association with patient age, time of seroconversion[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Opsoclonus-Myoclonus Syndrome

In contrast, there was a 1.4-fold increase in the percentage of activated T cells above the already elevated pretreatment percentage.[doi.org] The T-cell maturation status changed from a memory phenotype to a more naive phenotype, as exemplified by an increase in the CD45RA cell/CD45RO cell ratio from 0.03 to 1.1[doi.org] Changes in the percentages of natural killer (NK) and NK-like T cells were small, and percentages were close to control values both before and after treatment.[doi.org]

  • Idiopathic CD4 Lymphocytopenia

Some examples are: a decreased numbers of naive T cells (CD54RA ), a relative expansion of memory T cells (CD45 RO ) and a higher percentage of T regulatory cells, increased[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

One concern about the procedure is the antigen-inexperienced nature of immune cells in cord blood, leading to a higher percentage of naive T cells, which increases risk of[msdmanuals.com] Because cord blood contains immature stem cells, HLA matching appears less crucial than for the other types of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.[msdmanuals.com]

  • Proteus Syndrome

[…] as defined by normal naive (CD45RA CCR7 ) and recent thymic emigrants (RTE) (CD45RA CCR7 CD31 ) CD4 T cell percentages, an increase in the Terminally differentiated CD45RA[ojrd.biomedcentral.com] Thus, a more detailed evaluation of the peripheral lymphocyte subsets from the index PS patient was performed and revealed, within the T cell population, normal thymic output[ojrd.biomedcentral.com]

  • Premature Aging

Telomeric erosion in CD4 ,CD45RA naive T cells was increased in JIA patients (P 0.01).[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] The percentages of Ki-67-positive CD4 ,CD45RA naive T cells were increased in JIA patients (P 0.001) and correlated with disease duration (P 0.003), which was also an independent[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

  • Alefacept

As reported earlier in psoriatic patients treated with alefacept, we found a consistent increase in the percentage of naive T cells as a consequence of treatment.[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
