The uncommon cervical meningocele may cause cervical pain and mass, but also neurological deficits. Various abnormalities including hydrocephalus, Chiari malformation, and tethered cord may be associated. These lesions should be removed neurosurgically after diagnosis is made to prevent infection and neurological deterioration.
