Acute Monocytic Leukemia

I have Chronic myeloid monocytic leukemia and have been in chemo treatment for 9 years. When I was first diagnosis-ed I was given 2 to 3 years to live. Will this eventually become acute moncytic leukemia? I am beginning to get petechiae on my legs and feet and some on my arms. I guess I really would like to know what to expect. I am an 84 year old female.

There is a risk for transition to AML. Please see a specialist to clarify the cause of your recent symptoms.
