Presentation
We are going to present this case in the journal because of its rarity. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

Fatigue
Side effects of crizotinib mostly consist of grade 1-2 gastrointestinal events (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation), grade 1-2 edema and fatigue; grade 1 visual disorders, rare cases of elevated liver enzymes and pneumonitis. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Like many other types of cancer, lung cancer may also cause systemic symptoms, like loss of appetite or general fatigue. [cancercenter.com]
Some of the more common paraneoplastic syndromes that can be caused by non-small cell lung cancer include: High blood calcium levels (hypercalcemia), which can cause frequent urination, thirst, constipation, nausea, vomiting, belly pain, weakness, fatigue [cancer.org]
Some people with lung cancer have chest pain, frequent coughing, blood in the mucus, breathing problems, trouble swallowing or speaking, loss of appetite and weight loss, fatigue, or swelling in the face or neck. [ghr.nlm.nih.gov]
The signs and symptoms of elevated calcium in the blood include: thirst, fatigue, constipation, polyuria (increased urination), and nausea. [en.wikipedia.org]
Workup
As pathologists manage these specimens, they need to minimise the amount of tissue used for diagnostic workup and preserve as much material for molecular testing as possible [ 1, 16, 22 ]. [doi.org]
Workup was also done for ruling out hypercoagulable state due to mutations and it was negative. CT scan of abdomen and pelvis showed a mass in the ascending colon (Figure 2) and CT head was negative. [oatext.com]
A detailed medical history should be obtained from each patient to determine the relevance of further diagnostic workup and management. Adenocarcinoma, like other forms of lung cancer, is usually advanced or metastatic at time of diagnosis. [en.wikipedia.org]
No further diagnostic workup was pursued until he was admitted with intractable pain. Eventual biopsy revealed adenocarcinoma, likely of pulmonary origin. [hindawi.com]
Treatment
Trial Design and Treatment Figure 1. Figure 1. Trial Design. [doi.org]
Although treatment of penile metastasis is almost always palliative, early recognition may enhance survival for these patients. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Prognosis
By univariate analysis, HER-2/neu overexpression and poor cell differentiation are two important factors correlated with poor prognosis. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Etiology
The exact mechanism of HPO is unknown but it thought to be hormonal or neurogenic in etiology. The triad of HPO includes distal clubbing, arthritis, and bilateral symmetrical periosteal formation. [en.wikipedia.org]

Pathophysiology
The pathophysiology of adenocarcinoma is complicated, but generally follows a histologic progression from cells found in healthy lungs to distinctly dysmorphic, or irregular, cells. [en.wikipedia.org]

Prevention
Smoking prevention and cessation should continue to be the focus of public health efforts to reduce lung cancer incidence and mortality. [doi.org]
Lung Cancer Prevention For the majority of lung cancers, prevention is possible if a person never smokes and avoids second-hand smoke. [onhealth.com]
The peripheral location of adenocarcinoma in the lungs may be due to the use of filters in cigarettes which prevent the larger particles from entering the lung. [en.wikipedia.org]
Prevention There's no sure way to prevent lung cancer, but you can reduce your risk if you: Don't smoke. If you've never smoked, don't start. [mayoclinic.org]
