Presentation
In this report, we present a case of MASO of cervix with heterologous elements in a 55/F presenting with postmenopausal bleeding. [ijpmonline.org]
In uterine adenosarcoma, the most common presenting symptom is abnormal vaginal bleeding, but some patients present pelvic pain, abdominal mass or vaginal discharge. 9 In the extragenital locations, abdominal discomfort is the usual presenting symptom [scielo.br]
Heterologous elements, most commonly rhabdomyosarcoma, may also be present especially in adenosarcoma with sarcomatous overgrowth. Back to top [pathologyoutlines.com]
Therefore, one of the striking things about our case was the age of clinical presentation. [gmj.ir]
As compared to its uterine counterpart, mullerian adenosarcoma of ovary occur around 50 years and presents with palpable pelvic mass as in our case, while for the former the peak age incidence is eighth decades and presented with abnormal vaginal bleeding [cancerjournal.net]

Abdominal Mass
Case presentation: A 79-year-old woman was referred to our Department with an abdominal mass resembling a fibroid with a haemorrhage. Her gynaecological history was negative. [moh-it.pure.elsevier.com]
She returned 21 months later with abdominal distension, and underwent resection of large pelvic abdominal masses. Histology showed an adenosarcoma with sarcomatous overgrowth. Her disease progressed despite chemotherapy, and she died 5 months later. [liebertpub.com]
Other symptoms include pelvic pain, abdominal mass, or vaginal discharge [13]. Uterine adenosarcoma commonly arise from the endometrium [1]. [en.wikipedia.org]

Dyspepsia
Case Description A 27-year-old woman refers to our hospital complaining of dyspepsia and abdominal distension for a few months. Her past medical history is silent. Her blood exams show an elevated CA 125 of 1,309 UI/ml. [scielo.br]

Acute Abdomen
She underwent emergency laparotomy for an acute abdomen: surgical abdominal exploration revealed a 20-cm, easily bleeding mass that adhered strictly to the pelvic peritoneum, sigma-rectum, ileal loops, and omentum. Haemoperitoneum was present. [journals.sagepub.com]

Prolapse
May prolapse through cervical os and thus present as cervical polyp. Most commonly uterine corpus, occasionally cervix and ovary, rarely in the vagina, fallopian tube, peritoneal surfaces, intestine. [librepathology.org]
But the ultrasonography and computed tomography scan in addition showed uterine prolapse with rectocele. The parametrium and other pelvic organs, iliac and pelvic nodes, status were normal. [ijpmonline.org]
Twenty-nine (59.2%) patients presented with abnormal vaginal bleeding, 6 (12.2%) patients showed prolapse of mass through vaginal ostium, 1 (2.0%) patient showed an increasing of vaginal discharge, 2 (4.1%) patients had abdominal pain and the other patients [frontiersin.org]
Treatment
A worldwide registry is urgently required to collect data to standardize treatment and to obtain reliable data on prognosis. [moh-it.pure.elsevier.com]
The sarcoma component of adenosarcoma consists of low-grade malignancy of the stromal cells that surrounds the benign glands The risk factors for tumor development include past treatment for breast cancer, radiation treatment to the pelvis, and a history [dovemed.com]
Thus, the use of MPA in the treatment of these malignancies may be limited. [springerplus.springeropen.com]
Potential confounders in this study, leading to these discordant results, are treatment with concurrent surgery or hormonal therapies. [ascopubs.org]
Different adjuvant treatments were delivered. [bmccancer.biomedcentral.com]
Prognosis
A worldwide registry is urgently required to collect data to standardize treatment and to obtain reliable data on prognosis. [moh-it.pure.elsevier.com]
Prognosis of cervical adenosarcoma is usually favorable, with metastasis and recurrence of the tumor being less common. [en.wikipedia.org]
However, other treatment modalities, such as radiation and chemotherapy, may also be necessary The prognosis of Adenosarcoma of Uterine Corpus depends upon a variety of factors that include the stage of the tumor, the age of the individual, and severity [dovemed.com]
Even if the managements of endometrial carcinosarcoma and adenosarcoma are similar, its prognosis and results are different. [anncaserep.com]
Peritoneal lavage cytology and radiotherapy did not improve prognosis of uterine adenosarcoma. [jcancer.org]
Etiology
[…] though rarer, it may also arise in extrauterine locations, including the ovary, vagina, fallopian tube, gastrointestinal tract, bladder and peritoneal sites, such as the pouch of Douglas and the intestinal serosa. 3 4 5 There are no specific risks or etiologic [scielo.br]
In the etiology of adenosarcoma, the history of pelvic radiation and taken part of tamoxifen was located [10,11]. In 10-25% of patients having this disease, it is seen that there is the story of pelvic radiation as a etilogical factor. [anncaserep.com]

Epidemiology
Epidemiology There is a reported association with Tamoxifen therapy. Histopathology There is usually a phyllodes-like architecture. [e-immunohistochemistry.info]

We will consider the option of optimal cytoreductive surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy consisting of ifosamide (mesna) and adriamycin to prevent systemic metastasis, and will observe the role of serial CA-125 levels as a follow-up marker. [ecancer.org]
