Presentation
Abstract A case of a 17-year-old patient diagnosed with bilateral androblastoma of the ovary is presented. The patient was admitted because of secondary amenorrhea, hirsutism and acne. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
While they can present at any age, they typically present 30 years old, with a mean age of 14 years. In 30-50% of patients, the presenting symptoms are related to clinical signs of androgenic activity 6. [radiopaedia.org]

Treatment
Treatment Surgical removal of the affected ovary is the most common treatment -- and usually all the treatment that is necessary. That's because more than 75% of these tumors are found early (grade I) and in only one ovary. [verywell.com]
Treatment Surgery is done to remove one or both ovaries. If the tumor is advanced stage, chemotherapy or radiation therapy may be done after surgery. Outlook (Prognosis) Early treatment results in a good outcome. [pennstatehershey.adam.com]

Treatment Treatment involves surgery to remove one or both ovaries. This procedure is usually successful in returning normal menstruation (in premenopausal women) and ceasing masculinization. [wkhs.com]
Prognosis
prognosis compared with those with poor health Age of the individual: Older individuals generally have poorer prognosis than younger individuals Whether the tumor is occurring for the first time, or is a recurrent tumor. [dovemed.com]
Outlook (Prognosis) Prognosis of SLCT depends on the stage and degree of differentiation of the tumor. Since these tumors are typically benign and their growth is slow, outlook is generally very positive. [knowcancer.com]
Prognosis In general, the prognosis (long-term outlook) and chances for a cure depend upon the stage and grade of the tumor. By definition, all tumors that have spread beyond the ovary are considered malignant (or cancerous). [verywell.com]
