Right Horner’s syndrome, right facial paresis, dysarthria, hoarseness, dysphagia, and paralysis of the right soft palate and right side of the tongue were present. [n.neurology.org]
Entire Body System
- Weakness
There was no facial weakness, hearing abnormality, or tongue weakness. There was right palatal palsy. Motor examination showed hypotonia with weakness (Medical Research Council 1/5) in the right upper and lower limbs. [neurologyindia.com]
Case Report A 30-year-old woman was evaluated with complaints of dysarthria, dysphagia, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and weakness of left arm and leg. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Symptoms include ipsilateral (same side) cerebellar ataxia, sensory deficits of the face, and Horner's syndrome, along with weakness and loss of sensation on the contralateral (opposite side) of the body. [alchetron.com]
- Pain
In fact, stroke preceded by headache or neck pain should always raise suspicion for cervical arterial dissection. [reference.medscape.com]

A 54-year-old housewife with right nuchal pain developed Wallenberg's syndrome followed by left hemiparesis. Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging documented fresh infarcts in the right hemimedulla and right dorsal cerebellum. [mendeley.com]

A 54-year old man presented to us with a history of giddiness, which was of rotatory type lasting for half an hour. It was associated with 2 episodes of projectile vomiting. [neurologyindia.com]
Workup
Workup for supraclavicular adenopathy with CT chest and CT abdomen and pelvis revealed neither neoplastic nor metastatic disease. Biopsy of supraclavicular lymph node was planned as an outpatient but was deferred as it was presumed to be reactive. [escipub.com]

Prognosis
Patients who require tracheostomy usually have guarded prognosis. [lecturio.com]
Many reports have demonstrated a worse prognosis for patients whose cavernomas were subtotally removed than for those whose cavernomas were not surgically treated. [ 7 ] Conservative therapy may be one of the treatment options for the symptomatic brainstem [pubs.sciepub.com]
Etiology
In the etiological studies of the cases presented in the literature, atherosclerotic occlusions of the vertebral artery as well as pathologies such as syphilitic endarteritis have been identified. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
The unavailability of Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Angiography facility may provide a diagnostic challenge to elucidate the exact etiology for this syndromein a district hospital. [sciepub.com]

Epidemiology
Epidemiology There are very few clinically and pathologically proven patients of medial medullary syndrome. Lateral medullary syndrome is relatively more common. [lecturio.com]
Prevention
However, these contradictions have been prevented in recently performed studies; the topographical and clinical differences between BNS and hemimedullary syndrome have been shown [4]. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Complete removal of the lesion is essential to prevent re-haemorrhage, which may occur in up to 43% of surgical cases [ 10 ]. 4. [pubs.sciepub.com]
