Treatment
The aim of treatment are resolution of symptoms and preservation of ovarian tissue for future fertility. Follicular cysts in adolescents often regress without further treatment [ 4 ]. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Surgical treatment consisted of limited resection of the follicular cysts. Rapid regression of breast hypertrophy and return of estradiol levels to normal occurred in both children, who were followed for six and 1.5 years. [jamanetwork.com]
A doctor monitors these to make sure they disappear, and looks at treatment options if they do not. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] References [ edit ] External links [ edit ] [en.wikipedia.org]
