Inflammation
The bacteria enter into PPs and induce mucosal inflammation. TLR-2 plays a crucial role in initiating and regulating the host response to Y. pseudotuberculosis. There are many kinds of cells in the PPs. [bbc015.web3.ncku.edu.tw]
Whereas toll-like-receptor 2 (TLR2) controls mucosal inflammation by detecting certain microbiota-derived signals, its exact role in protecting Peyer's patches against bacterial invasion has not been defined. [chimie.ens.fr]

Yersinia pseudotuberculosis causes ileitis and mesenteric lymphadenitis by mainly invading the Peyer’s patches that are Our data demonstrated that Tlr2-deficient mice failed to limit Yersinia dissemination from the Peyer’s patches and succumbed to sepsis [cmpi.cnrs.fr]

Suggestibility
Here we present evidence suggesting that the small bowel is able to inducetranscytosis of antigens after short term exposure to Yersinia pseudotuberculosis. [diva-portal.org]
In contrast, no protection was afforded by administration of the TLR4 agonist lipopolysaccharide, suggesting the presence of a flagellin-specific effect. [hal.inserm.fr]
Our results suggest that the regulation of L-Ara4N modifications in Yersinia is more complex than previously appreciated and varies between species. [scholarsarchive.byu.edu]

Treatment
The objective of the present study was to analyze the effects of flagellin treatment in a murine model of oral infection with Yersinia pseudotuberculosis (an invasive, Gram-negative, enteropathogenic bacterium that targets the small intestine). [hal.inserm.fr]
Importantly, oral treatment with exogenous TLR2 agonists in germ-free animals was able to further enhance Yersinia-induced expression of Reg3 beta and to restore intestinal resistance to Yersinia. [cmpi.cnrs.fr]

It is well known that Yersinia pestis, the third mammalian pathogenic Yersinia and etiological agent of plague, is able to colonize insects since it uses fleas as vectors. [journals.plos.org]
Strong molecular evidence supports the fact that Yersinia pseudotuberculosis, responsible for yersiniosis in animals and humans, is the recent ancestor to Yersinia pestis, the etiologic agent of bubonic and pneumonic plague ( 1 – 3 ). [pnas.org]
