Prevention

  • History of Drug Allergy to Local Anesthetics listed above often prevents patients from seeing the dentist. And if they do see, the dentist may recommend general anesthesia, which is much more risky and expensive, even for minor dental surgeries.[asthmaweb.com]
  • Allergic reactions prophylaxis aims at preventing a new contact with the drug, regardless of the administration route.[scielo.br]
  • To date, whether lidocaine can help prevent a heart attack remains much-debated. If you have any concerns about this issue, talk to your doctor.[everydayhealth.com]
  • On admission day #3 at 6:30 am, the patient was pre‐treated with Tylenol 650 mg for the prevention of the untoward side effects of IFN‐gamma. IFN‐gamma was injected subcutaneously 15 minutes after the Tylenol intake.[onlinelibrary.wiley.com]
  • Antioxidants (sodium bisulfite, metabisulfite) are added to local anesthetic products that contain vasoconstrictors (epineprhine, levonordefrin) to prevent biodegradation by oxygen.[clevelandclinicmeded.com]
