Presentation
The clinical presentation of cutaneous sarcoidosis is highly variable. Rare presentations include ulcerated plaques, morpheaform lesions, and unilateral lower extremity edema. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Methods: This was a retrospective study of patients presenting to Mayo Clinic between 1976 and 1998 with a diagnosis of lipodermatosclerosis. Results: Of 97 patients, 84 (87%) were women. Mean age was 62 years (range, 25-88 years). [mayoclinic.pure.elsevier.com]

Most pathologists are familiar with a pseudomembranous type of fat necrosis as a useful feature of chronic LDS. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

Venous Insufficiency
Clinically and histologically the changes in the abdominal-wall skin resembled lipodermatosclerosis, a condition normally seen in the legs secondary to chronic venous insufficiency. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

Venous Insufficiency of Leg
Treatment [ edit ] The management of lipodermatosclerosis may include treating venous insufficiency with leg elevation and elastic compression stockings ; in some difficult cases, the condition may be improved with the additional use of the fibrinolytic [en.wikipedia.org]

Ulcer
Rare presentations include ulcerated plaques, morpheaform lesions, and unilateral lower extremity edema. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Fibrotic tissue may predispose the tissue to ulceration. Recurrent ulceration and fat necrosis is associated with lipodermatosclerosis. [en.wikipedia.org]
Conclusions: We suggest that the severe morphological changes in LDS and ulcer tissue play an important role in the pathogenesis of venous ulceration. 1. Falanga, V, McKenzie, A, Eaglstein, WH. Heterogeneity in oxygen diffusion around venous ulcers. [journals.sagepub.com]

Eruptions
Cutaneous reactions due to gemcitabine treatment, including alopecia and maculopapular eruption, are well known. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Treatment
Patients attending hospital expect to receive effective evidence-based treatment that improves health and minimises the risk of harm. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
Follow-up laboratory testing was done for 2 months after cessation of treatment. [mon.uvic.cat]
Etiology
Etiology: Progressive venous disease Pathophysiology Knowledge is evolving, but incomplete. The problem begins with venous hypertension and extravasation of fluid from veins, and end result is skin hardening and fibrosis. [infectiousdiseaseadvisor.com]
