Presentation
Each chapter presents an autonomous concise overview of indications, methods, diagnoses and pitfalls and can be used as a systematic review. [books.google.com]
CT is preferably performed before bronchoscopy because it might guide additional diagnostic procedures when parenchymal abnormalities or mediastinal lymphadenopathy is present. [clinicalgate.com]
To the current authors’ knowledge, the present study is the largest series of PTTS managed by bronchoscopic intervention with silicone stenting. [erj.ersjournals.com]

Tracheobronchial amyloidosis is a rare form of localised amyloidosis [ 1, 2 ]. To our knowledge, local B-cell clonal expansion has never been consistently demonstrated in tracheobronchial amyloidosis. [erj.ersjournals.com]

Case 4 A sixteen months boy had cough and wheezing accompanied for twenty-one days. The highest temperature recorded was about 40°C. Cephalosporin was given intravenously for three days. Cough and wheezing improved as a result of it. [omicsonline.org]

The more indicative symptoms include a barking cough not responsive to the common antitussive drugs, but partly respondent to the steroids [ 16 ], bronchorrea when EBTB is part of a cavitary and hypersecretive TB [ 17 ], while hemoptysis may occur in [mrmjournal.biomedcentral.com]
- Stridor
[…] flattening of inspiratory and expiratory curves seen with severe tracheal obstruction on flow-volume loop would not have offered relevant treatment information; this pattern, although specific for fixed upper/central airway obstruction, in a patient with stridor [clinicalgate.com]
Abstract We report a case of primary tuberculous tracheitis in an otherwise healthy woman who presented with cough and stridor due to diffuse tracheal narrowing by tuberculous pseudomembranous lesion, which resolved completely with antituberculosis chemotherapy [cambridge.org]
Stridor is a high pitched crowing sound usually heard on inspiration from air traveling through a narrowed opening Croup, Epiglottis, Foreign Body 24 Laryngospasm A laryngeal reflex which will close the vocal cords inside the larynx Laryngospasm results [slideplayer.com]
When seen in our clinic 14 weeks later, she had moderate stridor. Her flow-volume loop showed moderate flattening of the inspiratory and marked flattening of the expiratory limbs. There was no change in her FEV 1 after bronchodilator inhalation. [journals.lww.com]
Corticosteroid therapy was initiated at admission because of respiratory failure and stridor, and was maintained after the diagnosis of endobronchial tuberculosis, but it remains controversial as a prevention of bronchial stenosis [ 4, 9 ]. [omicsonline.org]
- Chronic Cough
Two patients first had Ultraflex stents implanted but had problems with granulation tissue formation and stent deterioration caused by metal fatigue due to chronic coughing. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
She had symptoms of irritating cough starting several months before, which was treated with inhaled bronchodilators with minimal improvement. As chronic cough persisted, her physician referred her for pulmonary specialist consultation. [omicsonline.org]

Atelectasis may resolve as lymphadenopathy regresses with host response. A sudden resolution of atelectasis may represent perforation of an infected lymph node into the airway, which relieves the bronchial obstruction. [emedicine.medscape.com]
The most common abnormal finding on chest CT was atelectasis: 1 patient (4%) had two-lobe atelectasis and 15 (31%) had one-lobe atelectasis. The median follow-up period after stent removal was 9 (IQR 5-27) months. [thoracicmedicine.org]
In the study, we summarized our experience with bronchoplasty treatment for the whole lung atelectasis caused by EBTB in main bronchus, in which long-term medical therapy failed. [readbyqxmd.com]
